Mustangs Use the Longball to End Game Early

Game 1:  Delaney Pamplin overcame a shaky first inning and ended up going the distance for the Lady Mustangs.  After surrendering two runs in the top of the first, Pamplin would hold American River scoreless for the remainder of the game.  Mikaela Ferreira got it going for the offense in the third inning with a 3-run homerun to put the Mustangs up by one.  A lone run would come in the 4th on an RBI fielder's choice off the bat of Ashley Laughlin.  In the fifth, Shay Trent would add a 3-run shot of her own to put the Mustangs up 7-2.  Ferreira would seal the deal in the 6th with a walk off 3-run homerun, her second of the game.
