September Cross Country Runners of the Month
American River’s Alejandra Magana-Ramirez Named Big 8 Cross Country Athlete of the Month
American River College’s Alejandra Magana-Ramirez has been named the Big 8 Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Month, a recognition of her standout performances at the start of the 2025 season.
Magana-Ramirez opened the year with a strong showing at the USF Invitational, where she covered the 6-kilometer course in 23:54.8. She followed that effort with a season-best 18:31.2 in the 5K at the Kyle Robinson Twilight, proving her ability to compete against a deep field. Most recently, she continued to lead the Beavers at the MJC Invitational, turning in another strong performance running 18:43 for 5k.

American River’s Cameron Mobley Named Big 8 Cross Country Athlete of the Month
American River College freshman Cameron Mobley has been named the Big 8 Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Month, recognizing his outstanding start to the 2025 season.
Mobley has quickly emerged as ARC’s top runner, leading the Beavers with a 25:15.7 8K at the USF Invitational in San Francisco. He followed that performance with a 15:05.33 victory in the 5K at the Kyle Robinson Invitational. Most recently, Mobley placed second at the MJC Invitational, running 19:49.82 for four miles to help pace his team against strong regional competition.
Cameron’s consistency throughout September has led to him to become the top runner of the Big 8 Conference and Northern California.
